It was a day to remember for the kids of Kaduna state, as all roads led to the prestigious Chim-cherry Hotel Barnawa Kaduna.
It was the maiden edition of the African Michael Jackson Obama and Friends Children’s day Mega Concert, tagged ”Heal Nigeria”, with over 35 schools in attendance.
The atmosphere was charged with a mixture of Youthful exuberance and excitement. The occasion which was billed to begin by 10:00am saw students and other folks streaming in as early as 9:00am.
Accreditation started early and the orderliness was commendable (unlike some occasions where u have a gathering of over 500 youths). The national Anthem was sang after the opening prayer was said.
The day saw lots of students dish out their oratorical skills in the Spoken words which had the Theme, ”Children the Neglected leaders of Tomorrow” and in the poem Recitals with the theme The ”Nigeria of my Dreams”, also of note were the various displays in Science, Arts, music and drama by the various schools in attendance.
The African Michael Jackson, David Obama Onyekachi Geoman gave a sample of his upcoming single album, which coincidentally was the theme of the Concert, ”Heal Nigeria”. Most folks burst into tears, the song which was a remix of the original Michael Jackson’s Heal the world, saw the African Michael Jackson remind his listeners through the eyes and voice of an innocent kid, the evil that has bedeviled this country of ours.
The convener and manager cum father of the African Michael Jackson, in his opening remarks told the house that that the African Michael Jackson Entertainment was not just about a young man who could dance like the late Michael Jackson, but about a young man Who is using his talent to raise awareness to societal ills, proffer solutions, and discover Talents.
The high points of the day was the launch of the Students Digest and the official inauguration of the Future Leaders Forum( Fulefo), also Awards were given to some schools (Mentorship Award For raising leaders over the years) and on individuals (Humanitarian Awards for affecting kids by their generosity).
It was a day like no other and a moment savoured by all in attendance, with all pledging to support the brand.
African Michael Jackson newly signed artiste Poppy Paul dropped her intro, which had the crowd go gaga.

Speaking to Asiribaze at the venue, the Manager and Father of this wonder kid, Chief Christopher Geoman said The African Michael Jackson Entertainment has come to stay and this is just the tip of the iceberg of what this young man has in stock for kids of Nigeria.
