He was inspired when He watched Donnie McClurkin, a prominent American gospel music icon in concert over many years ago and since then, His passion for music has grown and translated into various musical experiences.
In his early years, he developed a rather uncommon interest for gospel music and began listening, imitating and playing to the music of Deitrick Vaughn Haddon, Women Of Faith, James Fortune, Zacardi Renye Louis Cortez, Dr Panam Percy Paul, Don Moen, Ron Kenoly and other gospel luminaries. His zeal for the slow tempo praise and worship songs which later stir him to seek out bands and groups along his music lines. He then joined several singing groups within his reach to help grow in his knowledge in music, and then registered for an online music school berklee college of music where he studied General Music Studies.
About that time Tee, as he is fondly called, has made remarkable records in both the singing and teaching aspect of music and has been privileged of sharing stage with great gospel musicians like Asu Ekiye, Prospa Ochimana, Emma Sings, Owie Abutu and other great musicians.

As time passed, Tee began sensing a deep yearning within. There was more to his music than he thought. Thereby, taking up his music career as a solo singer which birthed the name “Tee-James Rafiu” He later took time off his numerous mainstream commitments to make the music business profitable by creating an online music promotion website 7bitmusic that helps every up and coming artist to reach out to wide range of audience and listeners.
As he developed an intimate fellowship with the Holy Spirit, He then realised that music was more than having a good voice and a good writing skill but a fundamental tool in the praise and worship of God.
