Zlatan Ibile Regains Freedom, Naira Marley To Be Charged To Court – EFCC

Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile whose real name is Omoniyi Temidayo, was yesterday released after days in Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) custody, following his arrest alongside fellow rappers, Naira Marley, Rahman Jago and two others, over an alleged involvement in Cyber crime.

EFCC spokesman, Tony Orilade confirmed to Premium Times that three suspects were released on administrative bail, while the fourth suspect, Naira Marley still remains in custody.

According to Mr. Tony, there is overwhelming evidence against Naira Marley; so they can’t afford to release him on administrative bail like the Zanku crooner and other three.

He noted that, Zlatan Ibile being released doesn’t mean he has been discharged. He also went further to reveal that Naira Marley will be charged to court soon, but they will make it known to the public in an official statement.

In his words;

“There is overwhelming evidence against Naira Marley; so we can’t afford to release him on administrative bail like Zlatan and the three others.

“That Zlatan has been released does not mean they have been discharged and acquitted. Naira Marley is still in our custody and will be charged to court soon and we will make the charges known in an official statement soon.”

According to sources, their freedom comes after the intervention of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria allegedly hired by Davido, but they still have to report at the EFCC’s office, daily, till the end of the saga.

In light of this, Zlatan’s saviour, Davido took to his Instagram page to celebrate his release. Sharing a photo of the rapper, he wrote;
